Since 2001, sparked by the need to provide a balanced view of the Oscar®-winning film, Amadeus, JWR—“Your independent global view of performing arts & film”—has grown to become one of the world’s most varied on-line performing arts and film review, interview and commentary site.
Today there are over 500 pages of informed opinion. Managing Editor S. James Wegg travels the globe in search of unusual, invigorating and exceptional work.
Each quarter, JWR Quarterly Report gives selected readers some exclusive insights to various aspects of the performing arts and film. Most recently, reviews of films Babel, Hollywoodland and Jasper Wood's latest CD were featured. Shifts in global readership are also reported there. Typically, North America accounts for 65%-68% of the 618,876 page views per year—a spectacular growth from 7,613 in 2002. The remainder comes from every corner of the globe with the U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and, increasingly, Asia—notably Malaysia and the Philippines filling out the top ten.
With such dynamic growth, support from underwriters, producers and sponsors is being sought so that JWR can better respond to the growing demand.
In coordination with the website’s preparations to add dynamic content to its pages, we have also developed a menu of sponsorship packages (starting from just $2,000). All will be custom tailored to respond to particular interests in art forms, genres, regions/countries, festivals or creatively crafted combinations.
Gold, Silver and Bronze packages include up to 18 pages of mutually selected reviews, previews or other articles and as many as 52 ads (banner and tower; industry exclusive) and direct links of your choice. Review ads will run in perpetuity. “Cultural Life In” and Festival packages include a dedicated listings page for ease of navigation to the content of your choice.
